Get Ready For The Surprises Of God

I am so excited to write and fill you in on my fun and challenging adventures in England. I know that Pastor Jack sent an email out already but since I have had some inquiries, I thought it best that I send my thoughts as well.

I want to start off by saying “Get Ready for the Surprises of God”! I am saying this because of my personal experience. I was “Set Up” by God. I have recently encountered numerous people, not only from NC4, that appear to be having a shift or embarking upon new adventures. Aslan is on the Move!

We have been focusing on encountering the Lord through His word and spending intimate time with Him. I see God responding. This response from God is bringing challenge and moving us out of our comfort zone. But take that step of faith. You will find the Lord meeting you at every turn. It is growing time.

I embarked upon my trip to England with the same plan as I always do. I am going to visit my daughter, support Hubby Grubby, and have the blessing of seeing old friends and acquaintances. I feel very privileged to be able to do so. I was aware that my hubby thought we might teach together at a church, but I quickly reminded him that HE was invited, not me. Whew! That covers me stepping into the pulpit internationally.

We arrive in England and I visit my daughter while Pastor Jack goes to Spain to speak at a Betel conference. I knew I was definitely not going on that trip or there would be no time for family fun with the grandkids. When he returned, we headed toward the North of England for the leadership conference at Swanick.

Before the conference started, there was a dinner and a prayer and information meeting the evening before. At that meeting it was announced that one of the scheduled speakers could not attend. This altered the schedule and some new things had to be put in place. Great! There will now be a Prophetic Forum with Duane White. I can get a word! The meeting finishes and I see Grubby talking to the Pastor of the Grimbsy Church. He was submitting to the pastor that we both speak at his service.   I nervously stood there not believing what I was hearing. By the end of the conversation, YUP, I am speaking. My question to myself was, “Why don’t men listen?” My thought should have been, “God what are you doing?” I honestly knew from the beginning that my husband was hearing God. I was just avoiding it!

We then walk to another building to get a drink and a snack before going to bed. I sat down with my friend Irene Bell, who was talking to a lady from Beverly, England. As conversations and people flow, Irene got up to chat with someone else. Ann Marie, the lady from Beverly, comes over and sits down. After a few minutes of banter Ann Marie says, “Oh, I have been meaning to ask you to come to England to do our Women’s Conference”. God what are you doing?

Time to run off to bed now! I will just say “Good Night” to friend Duane and tell him I will be at his forum to get my prophetic word. No sooner do I say hello and he says, “Trish, I want you to do the Prophetic Forum with me tomorrow. I would much rather do it with someone then do it alone.” Uh? Uh? Yes, God!

Think about it! This all took place within 3 hours. Not only that, after the Prophetic Forum I received another invite to England.

Please believe me, I am not sharing this to pat myself on the back. I am sharing this because God is pushing me out of my comfort zone and it came as a total surprise. Would I have liked to say no and shuttle off to a corner? That would be a hearty YES! But I had to be obedient! I may stutter, stumble and feel I am not doing as good a job as other people could and why me, but this is definitely something God has orchestrated.

I do not know what God is and will be requiring of you, but listen to His heartbeat and move into His plan. It is the only way you will walk into your destiny! God knows, never in my wildest dreams would I have anticipated that night. But my answer to Him had to be YES!

Funny enough, we ended our trip standing on The Meridian Line. Grub was on one side of the world and I was on the other. A perfect ending to our trip! With all that transpired I felt like I stepped into another world! That is DESTINY!

See you at the breakfast!

The Perfect Cup Of Tea

HOW TO MAKE A PROPER CUP OF TEA

1: Start with cold water, which retains more oxygen for fuller flavor. If your tap water is hard, use filtered or bottled water.

Step 2: Preheat your teapot: While the water is heating, fill your teapot with hot tap water, let it warm, then drain it completely.
Step 3: Measure into the teapot 1 tsp. of loose tea for every cup you plan to pour. Some tea drinkers, especially those who take milk with their tea, add an extra spoon for the pot. If you’re using a mesh tea ball, don’t fill it more than halfway, to allow for complete expansion of the tea leaves.
Step 4: For black teas, bring the water to a full boil. Remove the teakettle from the heat as soon as the water begins to boil. Boiling all the oxygen out of the water will flatten the tea’s flavor.
Step 5: For more delicate green teas, remove the teakettle from the heat before the water begins boiling, at 165-170 degrees F (74-77 degrees C). Or you can add 1 part cold water to 4 parts boiling water to cool it to the ideal temperature range.
Step 6: Before steeping, pour a small amount of the hot water over the tea leaves, to allow them to bloom, or open up, and release some of their bitter tannins. Drain immediately.
Step 7: Fill the pot with the boiling water. Keep the spout of the kettle close to the teapot, so the water does not cool as you pour it in. Cover the teapot and leave the tea to brew. In general, black teas are best brewed for 4 to 5 minutes; green teas should brew for no more than 3 minutes.
Step 8: When the tea is ready, pour and serve all the tea. Avoid keeping leaves in contact with the hot water: Overbrewed tea tends to taste bitter.
Step 9: To keep the tea warm through several cups, transfer the tea to an insulated pot or cover your regular teapot with a tea cozy. Don’t apply additional heat to keep the tea warm, as this will quickly degrade its flavor.
Step 10: A good-quality tea can be infused three to five times. Just add more boiling water. Let it steep for less time with each brew.

Learning, Loving and Living the Word

Lovely Nc4 Ladies,I wanted to share something that has been wonderful in building relationship with the Lord, myself and my family.  Myself you say?  Remember,as we have heard over and over again, as we read The Word, it Reads Us.  I have put into action Living the Word. The “Living the Word” teaching from the three part series “Learning, Loving and Living the Word” was the one done by Stuart Bell.  As Stuart shared, God struck my heart with activating the word in a way that I had not done before.  Being the age I am, and we all know that is 39, I remember the lady Stuart mentioned that used scripture as an antibiotic. What was suggested was to take a scripture and state it three times, first to God, then to yourself and then to the enemy.  Do that three times a day for ten days like you would take any antibiotic.  The scripture is your medicine. Over and over again it begins to come alive, richly dwell in you, and you learn the Word.
The way this has blessed me with my family is that I am doing this with my grandchildren.  I remembered a book I had used years ago that is now named Homework Manual for Biblical LIving.  I loved this book because it listed scripture according to topics. There is also a book that is somewhat similar called “Parenting with Scripture.” Naturally, you can use your bible study program on your computer as well.  So here is what I have been doing.
Eg;  My one grand-daughter has been very anxious lately so I checked out scriptures to do with anxiety and I sent her one that I thought was appropriate.  I am doing this together with her, each of us praying three times a day, believing that the Word will impact her heart and soul and God will begin to heal her of her anxious thoughts. Another grand-daughter has had some bad dreams and has been fearful, so I sent scriptures to her about God watching over her and keeping her safe. Together we are Learning the Word, Loving the Word and Living the Word. What a privilege to be a part of their lives in such a way and have God speak to me as well.
My heart is to pass this on so that others can catch the wonder of this!  If we are gr
abbing hold of these teachings as adults, what a great way to impact our little ones by joining together with our children/grand-children to embrace God together.  What about joining with another sister in the Lord to declare God’s word for her? Care for one another through praying His Word!
Love never fails!  God will move!  Watch and see!
Oh yeah!  Make sure to send your testimonies into Clair at clair.berry@nc4.org so she can post them and together we can celebrate the mighty works of God.
Keep praying,Mamma G.  (Trish)

God is our Power Source

Hi Ladies,

I can’t believe were in 2012…It’s hard not to reflect on the year that has past and try not to do things differently. It’s even harder to not have regrets or feel guilty about the things that you promised to do differently. I’m so thankful we serve a God that loves and shows us forgiveness. We should do the same for ourselves. I think we need to dust ourselves off and let God lift us up and follow His path for us.  Its not that God doesn’t desire the same things that we do, but He wants us to use His power source, not ours.  If you are like me I start with good intent but after awhile I get to confident in myself and leave God behind.  He is always patiently waiting for us to come back into his arms.

Today, ask God for help and wait on Him to guide and direct your path.  Open the bible and let Him speak to you today.  Write down the promises He shares in his word on index cards.  So when the negative thoughts start up you can look at the promises you wrote down and feel all the negativity disappear.

This year, lest stand on Gods promises to fulfill our lives and the lives of our family.  Lets allow Him to direct our path and remember to enjoy the journey!

Love,
Millie Moyzan

It’s A New Season

I was spending some time in Nashville with my best friend over New Years and had some time to think; probably too much time.  But really, how often do we let ourselves just think?

I know for some, we think, we think too much…see? But for others, our mind is so consumed with the daily routines, the check lists, the “to do” lists, the everything but what I really need to be thinking lists that we don’t ever take the time to just think.  Well, I did and amidst this thinking, I realized a few things that I’d love to share with my fellow sisters in Christ.

One thing I realized was that I had a really hard year.  2011 was a year that I am happy to say goodbye to, but also a year that I am eternally indebted to.  It was a year in which I was pulled and prodded; tossed and turned; stretched beyond the limits I knew I had and love beyond comprehension by the only Father who never walks away.  It was a year in which I learned to depend solely on Him and found out that my way will never be the best and to follow hungrily behind His heels as He leads me along the best path of life; His path.

It was also a year in which I found just how deep and how wide and how great is the love of Christ Jesus and that truly nothing, no depth or height or anything that the devil tries to throw my way can keep me from this kind of love.  It was a year that I was to constantly work through, but a year that I constantly found God and what a beautiful place to end up. In His hands was my heart, the only safe place for it to be.

Now, as I enter this New Year, I feel like the Lord is starting to lead me closer into a new season; one in which I will start to see the fruit of His favor and where I may get the chance to step back and say, “oh, that’s what you were doing!” Because I know that in all things, God DOES NOT waste time.   He continues to work and continues to prepare us for what’s next and because He so intimately loves us, He sometimes even gives us a glimpse of that next turn. Yet, even in the silence, He speaks so loud; are we listening?

My hope and prayer for you is that you feel even a small part of the peace that the Lord has so graciously blessed me with so far in 2012.  And, that you would hunger for the same desire your Father desires; that you would long to know Him in the same way He longs to know you and that you would take a minute each day and find Him in the moments that offer no other explanation.

His Favor Is On You

Aside

His Favor Is On You – By Deb Baker

“What is Favor With God?  Getting the Closest Parking Space?”

Maybe…but it could mean much more…

Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galliee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David.  The virgin’s name was Mary.  And having come in the angel said to her, “Rejoice highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women.”  Luke 1:26-28

Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.”  Luke 1:30

Mary had favor with God.  Wouldn’t anyone want to have favor with God?  The idea sometimes makes you think of things in your life going well with blessings on every side.  That can be true!  We all enjoy seasons of God’s favor in that way.  Mary, however had favor come in a different way at that time in her life.  She was told that she would conceive by the Holy Spirit and bring forth the Christchild.  She must have been awestruck and thrilled to be chosen for such a calling.

But with any calling comes challenges.  Anyone who saw the movie Nativity Story can remember the scene where Mary’s pregnancy became known and her story not believed by her family and future husband.  (Who could blame them?)  The community surely treated her with contempt and her reputation was ruined.  I’m guessing that she grieved over these losses.  She may have been confused, wondering how such great favor could bring such intense heartache.  (Can anyone relate?)

But Mary still had the promises of this great calling in her heart and God gave her a few key people to stand with her.   God opened the door for Mary to visit Elizabeth, who also had a miracle child and through Elizabeth came a prophetic word of encouragement that she could hold onto through the trials that lay ahead.   God  gave Joseph a dream confirming that what Mary said was the truth.  (How important it is for husbands and wives to be on the same page.)  What was happening here?  God comforts and encourages us as we walk out His calling (which came from His favor.)

Women, If you love the Lord, His favor is on you.  Yes it’s on YOU!

Some of you are called to the workplace, some to the home, some to a husband and children, some to a people group in another part of the world.    Whatever the calling, God’s favor is on you!  He has a specific work that only you can do and He has chosen you to do it.  It is His favor on you.  Let’s be glad about the calling on our lives and trust Him to fill in the gaps.  His grace will get you through the tough times.  He did it for Mary…He’ll do it for you, oh favored women of God.

What did God speak to Mary through the angel Gabriel?  And what is He telling us?

“Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!”
